Important Trash pickup information


Our current trash / recycle company is Advanced Disposal. For any issues, they can be contacted at 1-734-662-9361.

Normal pickup day is Tuesday early morning. Trash can be placed in covered containers at the curb Monday after 5 pm. If you choose to wait until Tuesday, you may place tied bags at the curb as well. But be sure to have them out by 6:00 am.


- Items longer than six feet must be broken down

- Rugs cannot be place in containers. Place on driveway.

- Bulk items an appliances require scheduling at 1-734-662-9361

- Maximum weight per container is 40 pounds

On holiday weeks (New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas), trash pickup will be one day later if our pickup day (Tuesday) falls after the holiday.

Please be advised that Blue Heron Pointe does not have yard waste service included as part of your weekly trash/recycle pickup on Tuesdays that is hauled away by Advanced Disposal. Because you live in a condominium association, where the majority of your landscape services are provided for you there is no need for the Association to incur the expense of adding this. However, we do understand that some of you like to tidy things up in your own in the beds, or plant your own flowers, etc. and therefore, you do have yard waste from time to time. We have arranged for American Property Service Centers, your landscaper service, to pick-up the waste bags on Wednesdays, while they are on the property mowing the lawn (if we have inclement weather the pickup will be the next day.)

On the weeks you find yourself needing a pickup, please contact Renae at Metro Group (248) 745-7100, so your unit can be added to the work order (calls must be received by 4pm Monday the week of pickup). Make sure all landscape debris is placed in the proper brown landscape bags, place them on the driveway for the landscapers to haul away on Wednesday. Thank you.
